Have just seen a review of a one off Mercedes C-Class which the maker has called a Black Arrow, and decided is worth £275,000 http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/2945/. Now I think the limousine hire industry suffers a little from this too, but does something expensive automatically seem better?
We all know not to choose quality goods and services (like limousine rides or Mercedes-Benzes) based on price because if it seems too good to be true it probably is. But when you see a £275,000 Mercedes, do you automatically assume that it must be pretty cool? After all, it is custom built, it is still a Merc and it has kind of a cool name.
Plus, with all of the completion in the limousine hire industry, and especially if you use a Broker, you can compare limo hire and get a pretty good price which isn’t too good to be true so maybe the Black Arrow is just an overpriced show piece when a normal C-Class would do just fine?
