I saw an advertisement on a limousine forum’s website for an SUV which was for sale. What struck me was that the ad was titled ‘Unstretched SUV’. Now I don’t think it was all that long ago that only the prestigious and affluent ‘football/soccer mums’ were driving SUVs and the rest of us were schlepping around at road height.
And now SUVs, not to mention SUV stretch limos, are so common that an ordinary one for sale must be differentiated from the army of super stretch party buses! But I suppose, that on a limousine website, it could be reasonably expected that the SUVs featured would be stretched party bus because like their smaller originators, they are soaring in popularity too.
I just thought it was interesting how quickly the limousine industry adapts to the next big thing – SUV limousines in this case – and starts looking for the next new and amazing limousine to hit the streets.
