Therefore, at the end of last year a Manchester limousine hire company opened their own testing station, based in Cheadle.
The new testing facilities can test classes 4/5 and 7 and it will not only offer MOT's, but also ten week inspections for chauffeurs and limousines running on operator licenses. The test bay is fitted with the latest Bluetooth technology, with play detectors and a weighing system. Also, because of the increasing length of many limousines, the Manchester limo hire company has equipped their testing station with a specially constructed nine metre long pit.
Becoming a testing station would have been a testing time for the limo hire company itself and as well as researching all of the testing and licensing laws it was enforcing on the limousines which passed through, it would also have to ensure its own limousines were up to scratch too. The safety of limousines is one of the most important parts of the industry as one poorly manufactured limousine or one under licensed chauffeur can cause accidents and scandals which can tar the entire industry with the same brush. So in setting up a new testing station to help move the limousines through their checks, the limo hire company in Manchester is also protecting its own reputation.
