Elvis had a cult-like following when he was alive and rocking our world, and that following has not diminished after his death. Elvis’ 1960 Mark V limousine was specially ordered by him in 1959 while he was still in the army and stationed in Germany. The Ford Motor Company who manufacture the Lincoln limousines sent one of their first 1960 Lincolns to Hess and Eisenhardt to be especially customised for Elvis’ needs.

Hess and Eisenhardt were a world famous company and is the same company which built the Lincoln X-100 limousine which President Kennedy was riding in when he was assassinated.

Elvis’ Lincoln limousine has only 33,000 miles on it and is fully equipped for luxury and style. The limousine has a rear power privacy glass partition and a separate front and rear air-conditioning unit. The new owner of the limousine will also receive a complete documentation history of the Lincoln including the manufacturer’s certificate of origin from Ford to Schilling Motors, the power of attorney signed by Elvis which authorised the purchase of the car while he was in the Army, the bill of sale from Schilling Motors to Elvis, the application of title in Elvis’ name, the transfer of ownership to a close friend Alan Fortas who was in the Memphis Mafia, the Memphis title to the car which has belonged to the same owner for the last 40 years, as well as a photo of Elvis with the limousine taken at Graceland after he returned from service and a collection of other photos of the King and his car.

The 1960 Lincoln limousine was well known as Elvis’ favourite car and will be a one of a kind collector’s item for the lucky fan who secures it.
