Disney World is all about fun and adventure and the people and families heading to Disney World want the experience to be as easy and trouble-free as possible. Therefore, Disney World have introduced a free shuttle from the airport to the theme park.

However, the free airport transfer service has severely affected the local limousine operators, some of whom rely very heavily on airport transfer passengers.

The Magical Express Shuttle from Orlando International Airport to the Disney Resort has received a huge reception from the public, transporting over 155,000 in eight of the last 15 months.

The new free shuttle has particularly affected the smaller rental limo companies who have seen a significant drop in revenue since the Magical Express started its runs. While some limo hire companies in the area have dropped their rates, others are simply missing out on the airport transfer work.

However, while the Magical Express Shuttle has created a boom in jobs for Disney World and the congestion on the roads around the airport has been reduced, it is not always smooth sailing on the Magical Express.

Some passengers hoping for a free ride out to Disney World from the airport have found that while they are not paying for the service, they aren’t receiving much service either. Some passengers have found the experience of the Disney Shuttle to be impersonal and there is often a wait of 30-40 minutes from the time you make your way from the airport, to the time you actually leave on the shuttle.

So while there are passengers who will not complain about the quality of a free service, the lack of personal attention and consideration, may prompt the shuttle to be a one off ride for passengers.

While the limo hire companies find it hard to compete with free shuttle rides, if you pay for a simple standard limousine to take you from the airport to your hotel or resort, you will find you get the service you are paying for.
