With the school prom season on the horizon once again, here are a few tips to ensure your trip to the school prom is nothing short of perfection.
Planning in advance is essential for proms as many schools organise their events on the same day, meaning chauffeur driven limos tend to book out fast. To ensure you get the limo you want for your prom, it's advisable to look around and identify which vehicle you want, and then as soon as your prom date is confirmed, you can be first in line to book your chosen ride.
Get all of your details right from the start as amendments to your booking after you've paid your deposit will often result in a fee. Confirm with your friends how many of you are travelling, and ensure everyone chips in for the deposit so they are less likely to drop out at the last minute leaving you footing the bill for limo hire.
Ensure your limo is properly licensed. The maximum capacity for regular limousines is 8 passengers, only larger size limo such as hummers which have a Certificate of Initial Fitness or COIF certificate are legally allowed to transport parties of 8 or more passengers.
The fewer pick-ups you make on your journey, the cheaper the price of limo hire will be. Therefore it's advisable to get all the passengers to congregate in one place to reduce the number of stop-offs needed.
If you're opting to have all passengers collected from their home addresses on prom night, make sure you give the limo company the correct addresses as this could slow things down on your big night if the chauffeur gets lost.
Be responsible. This doesn't mean, don't have fun, but don't be reckless onboard your hired limo as you'll receive a bill for any damage caused to the vehicle if things get out of hand.
